"I am delighted to recommend City Week to all potential participants. This unique event, which is organised by a partnership between the UK Government, TheCityUK and City & Financial, brings together the major users and providers of international financial services with senior representatives from governments across the world to discuss current challenges and opportunities. City Week provides an opportunity not only to hear from an exceptional panel of speakers and participate in discussions on crucial issues, but also to network with your global peer group. Given the importance of international financial services to global growth, this event is a great support to the mutual interest we all share in our future prosperity."
Rt Hon William Hague MP, Foreign Secretary
City Week was established in 2010 in order to provide a high level, annual forum for the discussion of current issues facing the international financial services community. An ‘invitation only’ event, it brings together the senior management from both the providers and users of international financial services with politicians, government officials, regulators and others who are contributing to the reshaping of the global industry. It is a truly international forum that attracts participation from a large number of countries.
City Week is organised under a partnership between the UK Government (in the form of UK Trade & Investment), TheCityUK (the representative agency for the City of London) and City & Financial (a leading research-based conference and publishing company). The City Week Management Committee, which oversees the project, includes representatives from UK Trade & Investment, HM Treasury, TheCityUK and City & Financial.
City Week is now firmly established as the premier international event of its kind. City Week 2013 will build on the success of this year’s event, which attracted 780 delegates from 40 countries. It consists of two days of cutting edge conferences, seminars and exclusive social gatherings, with an optional third day of one-on-one networking meetings. In addition, support is available from the City Week team to help delegates arrange meetings with leading financial institutions during their stay in London. Delegates will also be able to network with their distinguished peer group of fellow delegates from around the world, and organise face-to-face meetings with them. This will be facilitated by sophisticated networking technology.
