UK PPP Infrastructure Financing 2008

27 November 2008

Now in its 7th year, City & Financial's Annual Infrastructure Financing Conference is firmly established as the premier UK forum on developments in financing PPPs. This year's event is being held at a time of unprecedented turbulence in the financial markets, which has temporarily closed the capital markets for project fundraising and caused banking spreads to widen dramatically. The good news is that the ensuing flight to quality has made PPP projects, with their predictable long-term cash flows and strong credit rating, even more attractive on a relative basis to investors and lenders.

The conference will examine in depth the implications of the credit crisis on the PPP market for both government policy and the main sectoral programmes, as well as on the funding of major projects and new PPP structures. The event will also review in detail, trends in the equity and debt markets, such as the emergence of “funds of funds” and refinancing under current market conditions.

Attendance at this highly topical conference will be invaluable for financiers, construction companies, facilities managers, advisers, and central and local government officials responsible for the procurement and management of PPP projects.
